Teaching

" Gabriel’s piano lessons are always very engaging and helpful. I particularly enjoyed how we worked on many small details of a piece to make a more convincing performance. He also helped me examine pieces through multiple lenses, which often brought fresh ideas into my interpretation."

Gabriel Wu. Student from China/Canada

"Gabriel Escudero completely changed the way I view music, and I was astounded by how much he was able to teach me in each lesson. Without him, I would not be the musician I am today. With his help, I was accepted into multiple universities in the USA as a piano performance major. Escudero is one of the best professors and people I have ever had the honor of knowing."

Sadie Armstrong. Student from the USA

"Studying with Gabriel has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have always been a very motivated student, looking for the best pianists in the field in Spain and abroad. Either luck, fate or chance made me find Gabriel. I only feel gratitude since I found a great Master at the right moment with whom I did not only win a Piano position at a State Conservatory, but received highest score in the State auditions. He is not only a brilliant pedagogue and pianist, but also a beautiful person; something that cannot be said about all great artists."

Concepción Seijas. Student from Spain

"Lessons with Gabriel are splendid. I am able to easily follow when he explains the dynamic of any tricky passage and this makes me move forward. All his lessons are fun and they go fast. I learn a lot with him."

Flavio Fernández. Student from Spain

Teaching principles

Technique represents the fundamental basis of any piano school. Its study, understanding and practice forms the key to acquire knowledge that will allow the development of long-lasting tools throughout the professional life of any pianist. Likewise, the understanding of the process and body movements necessary for technique´s development are essential in the pianistic and musical progress of the student. That is why student's body awareness must be active and present in both personal study and during public performance.

Particular pedagogical interest

Together with a complete understanding of the instrument's technique, the study of sound production is possibly one of the most interesting tools which make musicians unique, being its study and work essential to the achievement of the correct musical expression of  ideas. Sound projection in instrumental performance is a key element that allows pianists to connect with the public and develop an individual personality. It is through a careful study of the sound production where the student finds and develops his or her personal musical intonation, allowing a better and unique communication with the audience.
